| This morning we looked out of our balony and we were just about to enter Port Everglades. | ||||||

Now heading for the Celebrity terminal.

| Moored! | ||||||

We had a nice breakfast upstairs in the main dining room and then it was time to depart the ship.

| Outside the terminal, Pete summons an Uber to take us to his hotel in Fort Lauderdale. | ||||||

| We dropped our bags at Pete's hotel, then boarded this Water Taxi for a tour of the Fort Lauderdale inland waterway. | ||||||

| Checking out the fancy waterfront homes. | ||||||

And yachts.

| Nice. I think the guide said it costs $10 a day to park the boat here. Per foot. Let's say a 100-foot yacht. Do the math. | ||||||

| The yacht on the right is named "Lucy". | ||||||

| You can't touch the waterfront homes around here for less than 30 million. | ||||||

| There were six of us: Pete and Cheryl, Dave and Jenny, Lynnette and moi. Not in picture: Jenny. | ||||||

| There she is! | ||||||

An interesting yacht with its wrap-around window.

| The Reflection is still at the Celebrity terminal. | ||||||

Many buyers will be the house just for the lot. They tear down the existing house and put up a new one with a design they like. The latest fashion in homes are these rectangular, modular things which didn't impress me. I like the homes like the one on the right with some character.

| An unusual orange-leafed tree. | ||||||

| They call this the Fort Lauderdale Sand Bar. It's a party on water. Lots of boats park here. There's even one that sells food and drink. | ||||||

| We did the entire tour, then got off at the north end, to have lunch at a place called Shooters Waterfront. | ||||||
![]() |
We enjoyed a delicious lunch sitting outside looking out over the IntraCoastal waterway.

| Back at Pete's hotel which had this fascinating animated painting. | ||||||

| But then Dave, Jenny, Lynnette and I had to Uber to the airport and catch our flights home. We had time for one last drink at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in the airport. | ||||||
